The Godrej India-U.S. Technology Summit
The Brief
Godrej & Boyce, a Godrej Group company has a strong presence across 14 diverse businesses. Founded in 1897, today it is a USD 4.1 billion company with a rapidly expanding canvas across the globe. The Godrej Corporate division approached us to design an exhibition stall for the India-U.S. Technology Summit at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida, Delhi. As this exhibition was the biggest bilateral technology summit, they wanted an innovative stall that reflected the brand.
Our Approach
We realised that the who’s who of the Indian corporate sector would be present at this exhibition. Plus, this summit was a crucial step to take the Godrej brand forward. Hence, we needed to think of a theme that not only represented the brand and all its endeavours but also showcased the prowess of Godrej. Based on research, we came to the conclusion that Godrej is an eco-friendly brand that focuses on innovating green technology to better the world.
So, instead of an ordinary exhibit, we came up with an origami theme to creatively showcase the different sectors of Godrej. Origami is a Japanese art of folding paper, where clean lines and folds come together to create a striking object. Taking inspiration from this a craft, we noticed that just a paper can be folded to create beautiful creations, Godrej as a company has evolved in myriad ways.
The Execution
The Origami theme stall was designed in a space of 30 x 15 sq. ft. We used recycled paper to create beautiful installations to define the diverse sectors. The paper tanks, fighter jets and missile represented Godrej’s presence in the defense sector, the paper box stood for the logistics sector, the plus shaped boxes illustrated the healthcare sector, the paper eye represented the security sector and so on. We placed informative panels and signages around the stall with communication based on the solutions offered by Godrej.
The Result
The Godrej stall was executed flawlessly and was a huge success. This out-of-the-box origami installation captured the attention of many participants as well as attendants at this two-day event. The elegant display fulfilled its mission of helping Godrej stand out from the crowd. It leveraged Godrej to make a mark at the India-U.S. Technology Summit..
